Friend, the answer is that there's no guarantee. I do think you will pass with that, but sometimes the institute determine passing in mysterious ways. I also hope that the one less than 50 is not Ethics for you. I think getting less than 50 for alternative investments is probably recoverable.

If I get above 70% in 7 subjects and between 50 & 70 in 2 & less than 50 in one subject, will I pass? (Average above 70%)

Bruce, it's not required to score above 70% in all topics. Nobody knows what the passing score is because it changes every time. However I think it's pretty safe to say that getting all areas > 70% will DEFINITELY make you pass the exam.

LEVEL 1 CANDIDATE : Is it required to score 70% above in each subject, as for eg.alternative investment has less number of questions and its 70% (70% of 8) would be 5.6~ or 6 and if a student gets only 4 correct it means that he is failed whereas as a gross he could have get 70% of 240 or 168 answers correct or more than that.
If you have a answer then please reply to me.
Thanks

Manish: no need to score above 70% in all subjects. But Ethics can really help you if you're a borderline case.
